Postgraduate Diploma in Engineering (Research) (PgDipEng(Res))

This is a one-year programme for students looking to fill positions involving scientific research and problem solving with industry or government organisations.

The Postgraduate Diploma in Engineering (Research) consists of one research module. The student completes a research proposal following an analysis of the relevant scientific literature and an introduction to research methodology.

The student performs an in-depth investigation in a chosen area of research and prepares a thesis covering their methodology as well as the analysis and evaluation of their results.

Students are initially closely supervised, but work more autonomously as they develop their research skills.
